The Rose & Crown
Canmore’s Rose and Crown has lived many lives in its 26 years, but current owners create a buzz by offering “traditional English fare with new world flair.” Items such as Guinness-braised lamb shank prove the Rose tempts with more than their famous beer-battered fish and chips. The family friendly dining room with photos of local landscapes offers a warm atmosphere, while the wood-finished, tavern-style pub is the spot to meet friends and play pool or darts. The large, tree-shaded patio by Policeman’s Creek with kids play area is mere steps from Main Street; it’s a secluded downtown oasis.
