With a name like Famous Chinese Restaurant, I imagine that people will have high expectations for this eatery. As they should. The cabin-like design of this restaurant is pure Rocky Mountain. The business is family run, and it shows: the servers are always happy and friendly, and give good-quality service. And despite what others may say, I personally find that the food tastes better than average Chinese dishes. If you’ve got a hankering for good Chinese food in Canmore, this is the place to go.
Upon first entering this quaint little restaurant, our group was fairly impressed with the cozy interior and décor. Unfortunately, the effect was lost on us when we tried the actual food. It pretty well seemed to be your average Chinese food, everything was fried. They got points though for having friendly and speedy service. All in all, it was okay.
