Chez Francois

Montreal raised chef/owner Jean-François (who loves hiking) and his dedicated team create contemporary cuisine with French flair at this friendly, casual restaurant. Personality is added to the fare through the creative use of local organic produce, fresh seafood and Alberta meats. Most dishes are gluten-free and special diet requests are welcomed. A satisfying option is the popular fixed price menu, while innovative breakfast, lunch and brunch dishes are local favourites (as are the decadent homemade desserts). Guests enjoy the appetizers-to-share, many wines by the glass and mountain views.

  1. Lee says:

Amazing breakfasts. The Eggs Benedict are to die for (excellent Hollandaise) and the raspberry crepe put a big smile on my face. How awesome that you can get both on the same plate.

  2. Canmore Foodie says:

They have a lot of unique and delicious twists on French classics, such as eggs benedict, duck and fish. The staff members are friendly and the interior is nicely decorated. If I had to recommend one fine dining restaurant in Canmore, this would be it.
