By far my favorite restaurant in Canmore. The Chicken burger is the best I’ve had. I recommend their breakfasts too. Great Prices, Great Food.
HORRIBLE experience! Food is fantastic– MINUS the hair cooked into my egg (didn’t eat most of it and waitress didn’t offer to remake it, discount it or even talk about it); I’m not looking for a freebie just for decent service. Asked for coffee twice but eventually had to walk to waitress station myself to get it. I must say though, before I found the hair, this food here is EXCELLENT quality and taste, way better than smitty’s or denny’s.
My mom and I stopped here with my half brother on our way back from BC. My half brother has special needs and uses a wheelchair. I was glad that they could accommodate us, even though the restaurant was nearly full. I had one of their omelettes; the bacon was really good, and the omelette as a whole was amazing. All in all, I was fairly impressed, and I will likely come back again.
Disappointed! The food seemed prepackaged and was bland. Our son has a milk allergy and after explaining this to the waitress she still bought his spaghetti with “jarred” sauce, with two pieces of buttered garlic toast. The fish and chips was not hand battered and the chicken cordon bleu was like it was bought at Costco.
This is the real, honest to goodness, old-fashioned diner experience just like I remember it. My husband and I stopped here while passing through on our way to Banff. Our homemade eggs benedict and homemade omelettes tasted really good. The waitress was very attentive, and often came by to refill our coffee mugs, ask how everything tasted and even stopped to ask where we were going. Needless to say, now that we’ve been to Craigs’ once, we’ll make this our regular stopover in Canmore from here on out.
