Iron Goat Pub offers delicious options. Any dish that is normally wheat-based can be made gluten-free on request (the pizza shown is made with wheat). The ripe tomatoes, artichokes, soft feta, peppers and succulent lamb on their Greek pizza will have you shouting “Opa!” Take in Three Sisters Mountain and Canmore views through enormous windows, or on the raised patio.

Sage Bistro’s new Wine Lounge features huge windows and Three Sisters Mountain views. “We bring the outside in,” says Sage’s owner, Todd Kunst. Or, experience the outdoors for real—two patios connect to the lounge. Complementing the view are artisan cheeses, small plates to share and 200 wine choices.

Tapas Restaurant serves big, bold flavours on small plates. Owner Wendy Konzuk claims her restaurant to be “the most romantic in the Rockies” for its intimate ‘historic home’ ambiance and shared food concept. Wendy recommends sharing chili gambas (Spanish style prawns with chili cream sauce), patatas bravas (spicy potatoes with aioli) and sangria during an amorous night out.

Located at a new address across the TransCanada Hwy from downtown, French Quarter Café is worth a visit for owner/chef Michael Raso’s authentic Louisiana Cajun cooking. Larger than the previous venue, it's cheerfully decorated with red and yellow accents, and prints of New Orleans musicians. Take a table beside the 3-sided fireplace, and order specialties such as jambalaya, Mike’s signature seasoned rice with spicy sausage, smoked ham, chicken, seafood and shrimp Creole garnish.

Ride into the sunset with Rafter Six Ranch Resort for a horseback (or wagon) ride and cookout on the banks of the Kananaskis River. Prime steaks and Rocky Mountain trout are campfire-grilled and served with all the fixin's. Rafter Six offers both breakfast or supper rides, or you can combine a ride with lunch or dinner back at the ran

Many restaurants serve AAA steaks, but Rustica Steakhouse proudly prepares Canadian Prime Grade Beef. Only the top 0.3% of beef in Canada earns Prime designation. Prepared with a signature dry rub, seared under a 1500°F (815°C) broiler and presented on 500°F (260°C) plates with garlic butter, Rustica steaks are remarkably juicy and tender.
