Sage Bistro & Wine Lounge

Family owned and operated, Sage has been a popular fixture of Canmore’s Bow Valley Trail hotel district for 20+ years. This warm rustic Canadian log cabin features an inviting dining room with large windows, lovely secluded patio and bistro-inspired Canadian cuisine that emphasizes fresh local ingredients. The upstairs Wine Lounge with signature patios boasts an open kitchen that offers creative small plates, sharing platters, charcuterie and select-your-own cheese menu. Wine flights let guests sample several wines side-by-side. Many tables include outstanding mountain views.

  1. KevieKing says:

Our favourite dining place. Service was excellent. The Duck Leg Confit was awesome. A great experience every time we dine here.

  2. bustertruster says:

Food and service was very good. We did not have reservations but they were able to find us a seat quickly followed by an excellent dinner. This was my favorite meal of the eight different restaurants that we sampled in the area.

  3. HH says:

The food is good. We had the 1/2 chicken. However, place is expensive considering the portion sizes. Waitress did not explain exactly how much chicken you get. Would not go back.

  4. Canmore Foodie says:

Dining at Sage Bistro is always a treat. The interior and exterior are pleasantly decorated. They serve good comfort food and cheap, yet flavorful wines. The servers are really pleasant — they do their best to let you sit back and relax and enjoy yourself. If you go, be sure to dine in the upstairs wine bar. Everything is cheaper, and the mountain views from the patio are breathtaking.
